Job Summary

To perform journey-level work in support of the Employer Annual Pass Program (EAPP), U-Pass, Metro Pop-Up shop, event coordination, surveys, and office administrative functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Markets and promotes transit pass programs and services to businesses and colleges in Los Angeles County

  • Addresses questions and complaints to resolve problems and recommend corrective action within the assigned area of responsibility

  • Collects, compiles and analyzes information from various sources on a variety of special topics related to employer programs and contracts

  • Monitors contracts for Metro’s Employer Annual Pass Program (EAPP)

  • Reviews and verifies that EAPP contracts meet Metro compliance

  • Follows up with prospective customers

  • Tracks and monitors clients account activities, including account balances, refunds, and payments

  • Creates and designs program surveys

  • Photographs employees and students for identification cards

  • Prepares and submits regular written status reports of activity

  • Prepares PowerPoint presentations for various audiences

  • Catalogs, orders, and organizes promotional materials and Metro Pop-Up merchandises

  • Contributes to ensuring that the EEO policies and programs of Metro are carried out

  • Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of rideshare goals

  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing

  • Interact professionally with various levels of Metro employees and outside representatives

  • Push and pull up to 50 pounds and lift up to 20 pounds

  • Safely operate a Metro vehicle

  • Represent Metro before the public

  • Operate ID photo equipment

  • Travel to offsite locations within a reasonable timeframe

  • Read, write, speak, and understand English

Minimum Qualifications

A combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.  Additional experience, as outlined below, may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis.  A typical combination includes:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Experience:

  • One year of relevant experience coordinating and promoting service or transportation programs, and related office administrative functions or one year of relevant experience performing marketing, sales, surveys, and related office administrative functions

Certifications/Licenses/Special Requirements:

  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions

  • Communicating through speech in the English language required
